Change of name for utilities (water, electricity, and gas)
The tenant has a short deadline of a few days from the date of signing the rental contract to transfer the services to their name.
Settlement of the ITP (Property Transfer Tax)
The tenant has a 30-day deadline from the date of signing the rental contract to settle the ITP.
The tax has zero cost for long-term contracts, but its declaration is mandatory.
Civil Liability Insurance
Insurance that covers third-party damages caused by the tenant inside the property.
It is mandatory for the tenant to contract civil liability insurance.

Registration in the Catalonia public health system and obtaining the health card.

Empadronamiento (Municipal Registration)
Official municipal residence registration.
Essential for regularizing your stay in Spain, accessing public services, and processing documents.
